JUNIOR PITTMAN TRAVELERS REST, SC
Vardry Fallow Pittman, Jr., 81, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Palmetto Health Baptist in Easley.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Vardry F. Pittman, Sr. and Hattie Howard Pittman Huff. Mr. Pittman was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a retired supervisor with Celanese Corporation. He was a Mason and member of Ebenezer Lodge No. 101, A.F.M. and was of the Church of God faith.
Surviving is his daughter: Rhonda Evans (husband Wayne) of Rutherfordton, NC; son: Vardry Fallow Pittman, III (wife Jennifer) of Ware Shoals; stepchildren: JoAnn Ingram (husband George), Jeanette Raber (husband Hal) and Evelyn Powell; sister: Frances Reynolds; brothers: Carl Sizemore (wife Pat) and Roy Sizemore (wife Martha); 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Helen Edwards and Gloria Jones and a brother, Bobby R. Sizemore.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1 until 2 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
Funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
