ELIZABETH “LIB” WOOD GREENVILLE, SC
Mary Elizabeth Wood, 86, of 23 Blake St., passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Blue Ridge Living Center in Easley, SC.
Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late Winslow and Madge Jordan Wood. Elizabeth retired after 25 years of service as Office Manager with the Ralph Loper Company and was a member of Dunean United Methodist Church. Elizabeth was a kind, loving lady who was always ready to give help to others.
Surviving is a sister: Dorothy Meder and husband William of Greenville; brother: Kenneth J. Wood and wife Evelyn of Greer and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by 2 sisters: Kathleen Snoddy and Peggy Garrett and 2 brothers: Joe D. Wood and James D. Wood.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 until 2 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to Dunean United Methodist Church, 31 Stevens St., Greenville, SC 29605.
The family will be at their respective homes.
