LINNIE CLEVELAND THOMAS MARIETTA, SC Linnie Tolley Cleveland Thomas, 78, of 122 Cleveland Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home. Born in Fairview, TN, she was the daughter of the late David and Rhoda Berry Tolley. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband: Kenneth Thomas; 2 sisters: Beatrice Cawley and husband Ed and Ruby A. Merrit and husband David; 2 brothers: J.C. Tolley and William Tolley and wife Kathy; stepchildren: Richard Cleveland, Billy Cleveland, Patsy Pittmon and Jimmy Johnson; 16 nieces and 11 nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, William Henry Cleveland; 2 sisters: Leora Ward and June McKelroy; 3 brothers: Harris Tolley, Howard Tolley and Chester Tolley. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral service will be Monday morning at 11 a.m. at Cleveland First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Cleveland Family Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cleveland First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 305, Cleveland, SC 29635. The family will be at the home. A special thanks from the family to Southern Care Hospice and to Linda Taber, Donna Edens and Wanda Cisson for all their support and loving care.
