Blanche McJunkin

Blanche Lucille McJunkin, age 86, of Saluda, N.C., formerly of 154 Green Acres Drive, Cleveland, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2015. Mrs. McJunkin was the daughter of Lee Elmer Reece, Sr. and Lucy Thomas Reece. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Rudolph McJunkin; her parents; brothers, Dennis R. Reece and Clyde Ray Reece; and a sister, Beulah Mae Reece McJunkin. Mrs. McJunkin is survived by her four children, Claude Lee and Mickie McJunkin of Hoschton, GA; Helen and John Morgan and Debbie and Billy Chappell of Pickens, SC; Donna and Roger Holder of Cleveland, SC; eight grandchildren, John Mitchell Morgan, Jr., Joshua William Chappell, Matthew David Chappell, Mary Melissa Morgan, Roger Bradley Holder, Stephanie Leigh McJunkin Rolader, Christopher Stephen McJunkin, and Jessica Lynn Holder Breedlove; nineteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Lee Elmer Reece, Jr. and wife Mickie; a sister, Lucy Beatrice (Pat) Reece McJunkin; sister-in-law, Barbara Hayes Reece; beloved nieces, Linda McJunkin Evatt and Janice McJunkin Adkinson; and a multitude of loving family members and friends. Mrs. McJunkin was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Pickens, SC. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the fellowship building of New Hope Baptist Church on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Viewing for Mrs. McJunkin will be held in the church sanctuary from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held on July 16, 2015 at 12 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church. New Hope Baptist Church is located at 108 New Hope Road, Pickens, SC 29671. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The families will be at the home of John and Helen Morgan, 601 White Crest Way, Pickens, SC 29671. Mrs. McJunkin’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Autumn Care of Saluda and Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for their loving care of their mother during her extended stay and recent illness.
