Cecelia Campbell

Cecelia Corinne George Campbell went to meet her precious Lord and Savior on May 13, 2017. Born in Mt. Airy, GA on November 12, 1927 she was the middle child of Julian Hartman George and Alpha Corinne Blair George. She moved to Greenville with her family, from her beloved Georgia Mtns. in early childhood, but she always called herself a "Georgia Girl"! Her family settled at the foothills of Paris Mountain. Cecelia remained there on Viewmont Dr. until she moved to Spring Park Memory Care in July, 2016. She loved Spring Park, always being complimentary of the food and the staff. "Ma" was quite an extraordinary lady. She was an artist, a poet, comical, an excellent seamstress, business woman, an adoring mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was strong, full of life and love. She guided many through her faith and wisdom. Cecelia and Roy shared a 59 year romance that began with marriage after a short 3 month courtship. From that they built a family and continued on successfully with her family electrical business, George Electric Co., Inc. They worked side by side at home, their business, community service, and their beloved Reedy River Church where she was a member for 63 years. Her proudest accomplishments were her family. First born son: Roy E, Campbell (Doris); Second born son: Timothy G. Campbell (Pam); granddaughters: Allison Olson, Jennifer Campbell – Raab (Brennan), Courtney Campbell Reece (Derek), and Casey Campbell Kubler (Levi). Great grands: Chris, Savanah, Ben, Meredith, Wills, David, Lilah, Edy, David and Ethan; and her nieces, nephews, and their children were so loved. Cecelia was predeceased by her husband Roy, parents Julian & Corinne George, her sister, Selena George Moore, and her brother Maurice George. The family would like for you to join them 4:00 p.m. Monday at Reedy River Baptist Church, to celebrate the life lived and loved by Cecelia George Campbell. Burial will follow in Reedy River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday, at Reedy River Baptist Church. Honorary attendants will be her Sunday School Class. The family will be at the home of her cherished niece, Kay Mills. 215 Viewmont Dr., Greenville SC 29609.
