Benjamin Lee Cunningham, 82, of Travelers Rest, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late John “J.C.” and Caro Blake Foster Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was in the Army Reserve, worked at Winn Dixie warehouse for thirty-eight years, and was a member of First Baptist Church Travelers Rest, where he served as a Deacon. He was Co-President of the Travelers Rest Historical Society, and was on the Travelers Rest planning Commission. Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight years, Earlene Mary Johnson Cunningham; one son: Eric Cunningham (Stacy); one daughter: Gwen Chambers (Michel); one brother: Gene Cunningham (Sherry); and five grandchildren: Ava Cunningham, Addison Cunningham, Logan Chambers, Olivia Chambers, and Blake Chambers. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a nephew, Richard Cunningham. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church Travelers Rest. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will be at the home.
