Bobby Luell Coggins Sr.

Bobby Luell Coggins, Sr., 90, of Travelers Rest, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Albert Coggins, Sr. and Sallie Mae Hargrove Coggins. Mr. Coggins served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and retired from G&M Mechanical. He was a member of Foothills Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Dorothy Dickard Coggins; three daughters: Susan Church (Doug), Sharon Wyatt (Michael), and Jane Watkins (David); one brother: James Coggins, Jr.; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one son: Bobby Luell Coggins, Jr.; one sister: Helen Sease; and four brothers: Freddie Coggins, Clayton Coggins, Carlos Coggins, and Kyle Coggins. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in The Howze Mortuary Chapel.
