Carroll Huff

November 5, 1928 - January 6, 2021

Carroll R. Huff, 92, of Travelers Rest, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Travelers Rest, SC, he was born one of ten children to the late Will and Bessie Benson Huff. He was a US Navy Veteran, where he served on the USS Mississippi during the Korean War. He was former owner of Enoree Cash Grocery, worked in the wholesale food industry and insurance before retiring as a Chapel Director at Furman University. Carroll proudly served on Travelers Rest City Council for 28 years. He was a faithful member of Enoree Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and the youngest deacon elected to serve at the age of 22. He loved to garden, loved his hometown, loved his family and church, and loved his Lord and Savior above all. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years: Sarah Styles Huff; daughter: Bess McCall(Wayne); grandchildren: Casey Kilbreth and Blake Kilbreth; brother: Prue B. Huff; and sister: Penuma Moore. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a son: Carroll Anthony “Tony” Huff. Carroll’s love for the Lord, sweet smile, firm handshake, and warm hugs will forever live on in our memories.
