Donna Dudley

Donna Dudley passed over the rainbow to see her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 18, 2022. Born in Greenville on December 13, 1953, Donna lived in Greenville, Asheville, Jacksonville, and Davie, FL as a young child. Once she was back in SC, she attended Tanglewood Middle School and graduated from Carolina High in 1971. Donna worked at Southern Bell from 1971-1995, taught preschool, and was a bookkeeper for Greenville County Schools from 1997-2016. She had a few small businesses over the years including Trinket’s Boutique and Tiki Bow Wow Dog Clothing Boutique. Donna served her community in many ways. As a teenager, she was a candy striper with GHS. She volunteered with the Southern Bell Jets and the Telephone Pioneers. Donna was a skilled puppeteer and ventriloquist. She used these gifts in her church’s children ministry and as a volunteer for the Adam Walsh Center, performing shows at schools in Greenville and Anderson counties. In 1991, Donna received the Barbara Bush Award for Volunteering. Later she volunteered with Girl Scouts. Besides volunteering, Donna was a talented artist. She taught painting classes for friends and sold crafts like painted pumpkins at craft festivals. Donna leaves behind her loving husband of 44 years, Buddy Dudley, and two precious daughters, Autumn (Jason) Bible and Cassie (Bill) Batson, two granddaughters, Ila Batson and Helena Bible, brother Mitchell (Dana) Richardson, a niece, and two nephews. She is predeceased by her father Paul Richardson and her mother Louell Dorn Richardson. Visitation is January 26, 2022 at 1:00p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Chapel service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
