Johnnie Dale (Looney) Johnston, 57, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Prisma-Health, Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late John D. Looney and Edna Chapman Looney. Johnnie was retired from Milliken – Gayley Plant after 20 years of faithful service and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Johnnie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gregory Johnston, Sr.; daughter: Jennifer Hutchins and husband Philip; son: Gregory Johnston, Jr. and wife Lindsey; 4 sisters: Joan Smith, Thelma Stevens, Mary McCarson and Wilma Greer; brother: John Looney; 9 grandchildren: Ashley, Bradley, Alyssa, Ariel, Alla, Cyril, Caden, Cayley and Campbell; mother-in-law: Nellie Johnston. Along with her parents, Johnnie was also predeceased by 2 sisters: Marie Perry and Carolyn Taylor. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Bethany Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. Funeral service will follow the visitation in the church sanctuary at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home.
