Joye Maus

February 19, 1936 - February 21, 2021

Barbara “Joye” Maus, 85, of Travelers Rest, was born on February 19, 1936 in the city of Greenville, South Carolina to Tom and Grace Wilson Callahan. She was Barbara to those who didn’t know her, Joye to those who did, and simply “Mimi” to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Over the course of 85 years that she was on this Earth, she was a nurse, a missionary, and a mother of four. During her life, she enjoyed the love of two wonderful men: James Natatchez, her husband of 31 years until his passing in 2003, and Fred Maus, her husband for the last 8 years. Together with Fred, she was a member of Foothills Baptist Church. Early on the morning of February 21, 2021, the Lord called Joye home to be with Him Along with her husband she will be greatly missed by her daughters: Pam Moody, Gina Heaton; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and her first husband she was predeceased by a son: Chuck Arrowood; and a daughter: Janice Pope. The family will receive friends Saturday, March, 6 2021 from 12pm until 1:30pm at Foothills Baptist Church. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:30pm at Foothills Baptist Church.
