Kayla McKenzie Shepherd, 24, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Randall Shepherd and Kelly Stepp Haynes. Kayla was a graduate of Travelers Rest High School and was of the Baptist Faith. Along with her parents, Kayla is also survived by one brother: Grayson Shepherd; maternal grandparents: Ron and Claudia Ragsdale Stepp; paternal grandparents: Randy and Debbie Shepherd; stepfather: James Haynes; stepmother: Crystal Shepherd and four half-brothers: Brent Haynes, Tyler Haynes, Aidan Shepherd and Peyton Shepherd. A visitation will be held at Renfrew Baptist Church in Travelers Rest on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Coleman Memorial Cemetery in Travelers Rest.
