Tommy Eugene Long Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tommy Eugene Long, 83, of Greenville, left this world on December 21, 2021. Tommy was the son of Rome P. Long and Janie Greene Long. In addition to his parents, Tommy is reunited in Heaven with a daughter, Janet Long Stapleton, and one sister. Surviving are his wife of 54 years: Mary Long; as well as 4 children: Susan Long Cash(Johnny), Vicky Long Reardon, Jeff Long(Cathy), and LaDonna Long Gilliam; 1 brother and 3 sisters. Tommy was a unique and fun loving Papa to 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for living life to the fullest for as long as he could and for loving his friends and family and hound dogs as much as humanly possible. He was a coon hunter extraordinaire and avid collector of classic cars and priceless junk. Most importantly, Tommy loved the Lord and was confident of where he would spend forever. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital 950 W. Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605. The family will receive friends Friday, December 24, 2021 from 10am until 11am at The Howze Mortuary. Memorial services will be Friday, December 24, 2021 at 11am at The Howze Mortuary Chapel. The family will be at the home of Johnny and Susan.
