Ray Blenn Fore

Ray Blenn Fore Jr., known to many simply as Blenn, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by family, following an extended illness. His life was one of steady service, deep faith, and quiet devotion to the people and work he loved. Born on February 17, 1946, Blenn lived with a sense of purpose that never sought attention but was deeply felt by those around him. He was a man of integrity and consistency—someone whose presence brought reassurance and whose actions spoke louder than words. He believed in showing up, doing honest work, and living his faith in everyday ways. Throughout his life, Blenn served in many meaningful roles. He worked as a civil engineer, applying care and precision to building and problem-solving. He also followed a calling to ministry, serving as a pastor and Sunday school teacher, where he shared his faith with humility and sincerity. In later years, he worked as a facilities technician at Bob Jones University, a role well suited to his practical skills, strong work ethic, and servant’s heart. No matter the title, Blenn approached his work with dedication and pride. Outside of his work, Blenn found great joy in simple pleasures. He loved his Lionel train collection, enjoyed long bike rides on his Schwinn bicycles, and most of all cherished hiking mountain trails whenever he could find them. Nature offered him peace, challenge, and reflection—spaces where his love for creation and quiet contemplation came together. Above all else, Blenn loved his Lord and his family. His faith was the foundation of his life, guiding how he loved, served, and persevered. To his family, he was a steady and faithful presence—a father and grandfather whose love was shown through reliability, sacrifice, and unwavering support. He is survived by his children, Olivia Noel Ulrich and her husband, Christopher Ulrich, of State College, Pennsylvania, and Christopher Ray Fore and his wife, Rachel Fore, of Hinesville, Georgia; his beloved grandchildren, Caden Martz, Connor Martz, Cameron Martz, and Caroline Grace Ulrich; and extended family members Brad Martz, and Mel and Carol Martz. Ray Blenn Fore Jr. will be remembered for a life lived faithfully and humbly. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy continues in the paths he walked, the work he completed, the faith he lived, and the love he gave so freely. Blenn will be cremated. A private service with family will be held at a later date. Funeral services are entrusted to The Howze Mortuary. Blenn’s life was guided by his faith, reflected in his favorite Scripture: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
